Inventions by Ångström students

Student work: Inventions from the Ångström workshop

Inventions and machines

The Ångström Laboratory is home to the largest and most modern university mechanical workshop in Sweden. There are lathes, 3D printers, ultrasonic washers, milling machines and many other tools. The workshop manufactures measuring instruments for research, which are used by Uppsala University, Uppsala University Hospital, KTH, Max IV in Lund and CERN.

The workshop also has a student section, where students on some of our programmes can mill, turn and construct - based on finished drawings or their own ideas. The workshop creates prototypes for electric cars, self-driving robots and much more. Here in the stand you can see some examples of inventions and constructions that students in the workshop have built.
