The Mediterranean Sea and the Nile Valley

This exhibition contains objects from ancient Egypt and other ancient Mediterranean cultures. It includes mummy sarcophagi and objects from the former Victoria Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, which was housed in the Gustavianum. The exhibition also features Greek and Roman pottery, bronze and terracotta figurines, and much more. Many of the objects come from excavations in which Uppsala archaeologists participated, including Asine in Greece, Cyprus, and Sudanese Nubia.
