The University's History and the History of Science

On the first floor, the exhibition tells the story of Uppsala University from its foundation in 1477 to the present day – taking visitors on a journey through more than 500 years of pictures, objects and documents. It also explores the history of science with a wide range of scientific instruments, models, apparatus, and publications from different centuries. Films and digital presentations provide fascinating insights into the research and activities currently taking place at the university.
