New eligibility rules for ERC calls 2027

The European Research Council (ERC) is planning to update the eligibility rules for the 2027 calls, including adjustments of the eligibility windows for both the Starting Grant and the Consolidator Grant.

The Starting Grant is now open to researchers 0–10 years after obtaining their PhD, whilst the Consolidator Grant applies to those 5–15 years after obtaining their PhD.

The previously announced changes regarding reapplication have been readjusted.
