Research infrastructures at Uppsala University are open to researchers, doctoral students and in some cases external partners. Uppsala University hosts several national and international research infrastructures and is actively involved in a large number of research infrastructures led by other higher education institutions and organisations.

Inventory of research infrastructure needs 2025
Internal inventory of research infrastructure needs ahead of the Swedish Research Council’s needs inventory of research infrastructure of national interest in 2025.
7 April–12 May: internal inventory
Uppsala University’s internal inventory, carried out via a survey open from 7 April to 12 May 2025.
23 September: decision by the Vice-Chancellor
A first prioritisation of identified needs will be made at disciplinary domain level, followed by a second prioritisation by the Research Infrastructure Board in preparation for decision by the Vice-Chancellor on 23 September 2025.
October 2025: Prisma opens for notification of needs
The Swedish Research Council has announced that it expects to open Prisma for notification of needs in October 2025.
