Teaching qualifications
How will you document your teaching qualifications?
What actually constitutes good academic teaching? How can you document your teaching qualifications? Can teaching qualifications be assessed fairly? Should there be special reward systems for excellent teachers, and what should they look like?
These questions are highly relevant and topical, not only for individual teachers and for students but also for the University’s quality work.

Distinguished university teachers
According to the Goals and strategies for Uppsala University, the university must conduct research and education of the highest quality. This means, among other things, that the students must be offered environments where they can develop into knowledgeable, critical thinking, creative and responsible individuals. Teaching with competent teachers who are both scientifically and pedagogically skilled is a prerequisite. Each domain/faculty board is to specify more closely the requirements for approval of distinguished university teachers.
