Donations and sponsorship

Many people and organisations want to support Uppsala University and its work through donations or want to collaborate with Uppsala University through a sponsorship agreement.

A donation is a gift, with no requirement for a recompense. This can involve memorial gifts and testamentary gifts, but increasingly people and organisations make donations not only to contribute to something new and important but also to have the opportunity to follow the effect of their contribution.

Sponsorship, on the other hand, is a commercial collaboration in which the parties have agreed in advance on the benefits to be included.
