Commissioned activities
The university has the possibility to carry out commissioned activities in both research and education. In addition, the university can provide certain services and goods for a fee, as well as provide research infrastructure.
The basic differences between collaborative research and commissioned research are described in the brochure To collaborate with Uppsala University.
Conditions for commissioned research are regulated in the Riktlinjer för uppdragsforskning vid Uppsala universitet (Guidelines for Commissioned Research at Uppsala University). In the case of commissioned research, the University's template agreement for commissioned research should be used in the first instance.
Contract education means that the university provides a teaching service against payment. The conditions for contract education are regulated by the förordning (2002:760) om uppdragsutbildning vid universitets och högskolor (Ordinance (2002:760) on Contract Education at Universities and University Colleges) and the Riktlinjer för uppdragsforskning (UFV 2013/1432) (University's Guidelines for Contract Research. If you want to know more about what applies to contract education, you can contact the Division for Contract Education.
