Create a Confirmed User - eduID

Guide to creating a confirmed user - eduID.

"Confirmed User" via eduID is one of the options available to you to verify your identity when you activate your user account at Uppsala University.

Step 1

Go to https://eduid.se/ and click "CREATE YOUR EDUID"

Step 2

Enter your email address and click "CREATE EDUID"

Step 4

Confirm that you are a human by checking the box "I’m not a robot." Click DONE when you see a green checkmark.

Step 5

You will get a verification email to the email address that you registered. Click the link in the email to verify your email address and get your password.

The verification text: Welcome to eduID, You recently signed up for eduID. Please confirm the e-mail address and get your password by clicking on this link.

Step 6

When you have clicked on the link you will see your email address and your password for your eduID account. and click "GO TO MY EDUID." Save the password.

A message: You have completed the registration for eduID. These are you login details for eduID.

Step 7

Enter your email address and your new password and click "SIGN IN"

Go to "Settings" to add your mobile phone number. Enter your first name and last name and click "SAVE"

Step 9

Add your mobile phone number by clicking "+ add more"

Enter your mobile phone number and click "ADD" and "CONFIRM"

Step 11

You will receive a text message with a code that you can enter in the confirmation code field. Do so and click "OK"

Step 13

Enter your national identity number and click "ADD"

Click "BY PHONE" to verify your identity number. Please Note: You need a private mobile phone number that is registered in your name to be able to verify your identity number.

If the following page is shown you are ready to use your eduID:

If you don’t have a Swedish mobile phone number registered in your name you can verify your identity using a code that will be sent to you via the postal service to your registered home address. TO do so, click "BY POST" instead of "BY PHONE"

Step 18

If you need to change your password for your eduID account, go to "Settings" and click "Change password"

Activate your University Account using eduID

To activate your account go to uu.se/konto and click on the box eduID. Log in with the email address and password you specified when you created your eduID account.
