About the course

The course introduces creativity and methods for turning new technical ideas and innovations into commercial opportunities. Students explore business opportunities and how entrepreneurship works when based on new technology or research. The course also covers different ways to finance technology‑based ventures.

A business simulation is used to practice the theory in a hands‑on environment where students make strategic and entrepreneurial decisions. Teaching includes interactive lectures, guest lectures, seminars, workshops, a simulation exercise, project work, and various practical in‑class activities. The course also connects entrepreneurship research with how commercialisation works in real life.
