About the course
Over the past decade, research in nutrition and healthy aging, has led to significant breakthroughs in understanding health issues once considered a natural part of aging. Conditions such as dementia, cardiovascular diseases, and mobility impairments due to reduced muscle mass and strength are now recognized as preventable, mostly through lifestyle interventions, including nutrition. We live in an era where these groundbreaking discoveries can be easily and widely shared around the world, which is remarkable. However, this also presents a challenge: how do we navigate the overwhelming amount of health information amidst the noise of social media? This is an important issue because the aging population should be able to receive support based on scientific evidence in their everyday lives and specific challenges related to the aging process.
This multidisciplinary course aims to address this challenge by providing evidence-based insights from the world's leading research in nutrition and healthy aging, cutting through the noise to deliver clear, reliable information.
Outline for distance course: A distance course delivered entirely online, featuring a blend of text, audio, and video lectures and Zoom correspondence with specialized academic staff from different European universities with support from a joint learning platform.
