About the course
Research within the multi- and interdisciplinary subject of gender studies is groundedDU in methodologies and methods from across the humanities and social sciences. The focus of this course is the intersection between feminist research, gender studies and queer theory on the one hand and academic practice, including data collection, research ethics and the writing process, on the other.
The course is structured around seminars with researchers working at the Centre for Gender Research. These seminars address specific research methods such as ethnography, interviews, text analysis, and visual methods as well as research ethics, data processing, and the interdisciplinary master's thesis as a text genre. You are expected to engage in the 'peer response' process by reading other students' work, providing feedback and presenting your research projects.
