The master's programme is given jointly with Ghent University, Belgium and TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany.
Academic Year 1: The students study 20 credits of courses at Ghent University and a course of 4 credits at TU Bergakademie Freiberg during the first semester. The students study 25 credits of courses at Uppsala University during the second semester and a course of 9 credits at Ghent University during summer semester.
Academic Year 2: The students study 15 credits of courses at TU Bergakademie Freiberg and 15 credits of courses at one of the partner universities e.g. Uppsala University during the third semester. During the fourth semester the student do their degree project of 30 credits at one of the partner universities e.g. Uppsala University.
Level/Depth is given with the abbreviations:
G2F - First cycle, has at least 60 credits in first-cycle courses as entry requirements
A1N - Second cycle, has only first-cycle courses as entry requirements, at least 120 credits
A1F - Second cycle, has second-cycle courses as entry requirements
A2E - Second cycle, degree project for Master of Arts/Master of Science (120 credits)
