90 credits in educational sciences or 120 credits from a teacher education programme
Learning outcomes
After completion of the course students are expected to be able to:
- describe the structure, role and function of higher education systems in different countries
- discuss and analyse how new modes of governance and accountability affect higher education systems
- analyse the relation between higher education systems and the labor market
Content
The course deals with the structure, role and function of higher education systems in a comparative perspective. The course focuses particularly on the emergence of new modes of governance and accountability in higher education.

Lectures and seminars.
Assessment
The assessment is based on written assignments.
