Prizes and distinctions

Each year Uppsala University confers a number of prizes, distinctions, and medals to individuals whose academic or other pursuits have promoted research, education, or the development of Uppsala University or society in general. With its prizes, distinctions, and medals, Uppsala University wishes to recognise outstanding achievements, sacrifices, and efforts, thereby inspiring others to persist in their work at the academy and in society.
