The Centre for Integrated Research on Culture and Society (CIRCUS) is a research support centre at Uppsala University. CIRCUS belongs to the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences. CIRCUS’s work is led by a board and a director. The director answers to the board and is chief rapporteur. The day-to-day operations are carried out by office staff.

The Board of CIRCUS consists of five members from Uppsala University, two external members and one student representative. Three of the five members from Uppsala University come from the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences, with one each from the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Disciplinary Domain of Science and Technology.

On 1 April 2020, the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences appointed members to CIRCUS’s International Advisory Board.
