The BUP Estonian National Centre is located at Tallinn University in Tallinn. The university has a history dating back to 1919 when The Tallinn Teachers’ Seminar was established. Tallinn University was founded in 2005 when the Estonian Institute of Humanities, Tallinn Pedagogical University and the Estonian Academy of Science Institute of History were merged. The university has 7 academic units, 104 study programmes, about 7000 students and 1000 full-time employees.
Tallinn University is a modern and dynamic research university in Estonia with a leading role in promoting an intelligent lifestyle through education, research, and a unique collaboration across disciplines. We view an intelligent lifestyle as making research-based decisions in order to improve society in general and the well-being of its citizens.

The centre is under leadership of Centre Director Katrin Männik.
