Doctoral level (PhD studies) (third cycle)
The PhD education at the department has nine main specialisations:
- Computational Linguistics
- Greek or Greek with a specialisation in Byzantine studies
- Indology and Indology with a specialisation in comparative Indo-European linguistics.
- Iranian languages
- Latin
- General Linguistics
- Semitic languages or Semitic languages with a specialisation in Assyriology
- Sinology
- Turkic languages
The Faculty has a page with med general study plans for the various specialisations.
The graduate school Early Languages, Digital Philology (DigPhil) is a collaborative effort involving different subjects at the Lund, Stockholm and Uppsala Universities. It is funded by the Swedish Research Council 2023-2027.
