About ReAct
Antibiotic resistance is a growing global problem. ReAct – Action on Antibiotic Resistance – is a global network that serves as a platform for bringing different actors together to raise awareness and implement actions within the antibiotic resistance area, all based on science and research. ReAct is lead from the coordinating office at Uppsala University situated in the center of Uppsala. There are three additional offices around the world; Zambia, Ecuador and India. ReAct believes that change is dependent on the interaction between social movements, civil society, academia and politicians.
ReAct was founded in 2005 by Professor Otto Cars and is mainly funded by Sida, with contributions from Uppsala University.
