Research at the Department of Medical Sciences
The Department of Medical Sciences conducts clinical, preclinical and translational research in a wide range of areas. The Department also hosts a number of research infrastructures and centres.
Research groups
The research conducted at the Department is organised into 33 research groups.

Research infrastructures
The Department hosts three research infrastructures and three centres.

Epidemiological studies

The Department of Medical Sciences has a strong tradition of epidemiological research. Much of that is because of the large cohorts that the Department's researchers have built up over a long time, and which are still ongoing.
