Study at Department of Medical Sciences
The Department of Medical Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate level courses within programmes as well as a number of stand-alone courses. Teaching is provided at the medical programme, the biomedical programme, the physiotherapy programme, the nursing programme and the specialist nursing programme with specialisations in diabetes, acute care and psychiatry.
Education at undergraduate and graduate level
We are responsible for teaching several semesters of the medical programme as well as the biomedical programme, the biomedical analyst programme, the physiotherapy programme and the nursing programme. At advanced level, we are responsible for several specialisations within the specialist nursing programme as well as for a number of specialisations and stand-alone courses.
Postgraduate education
We conduct high quality postgraduate education in a wide range of subjects in medicine. We have about 200 doctoral students affiliated with the department. Doctoral education is mainly conducted at Uppsala University Hospital, but we also have doctoral students at various centres for clinical research.
