The Department of Medical Sciences (IMV) is a clinical department within the Faculty of Medicine at the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy. The department has about 250 employees and over 300 affiliated researchers. The clinical activities are conducted at Uppsala University Hospital and the Rudbeck Laboratory and the preclinical activities at the Biomedical Center.
The Head of Department and most of the administration have their offices in entrance 40, floor 5, at the Uppsala University Hospital.
The department conducts medical research in some 30 research groups.
