Pharmacoepidemiology: Methods and Applications Course

The pharmacoepidemiology group at Uppsala University is pleased to invite all pharmacoepidemiology, clinical pharmacology, public health, social and clinical pharmacy, pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoeconomics, or global health PhD students from all around the world to this course.

The course offers students a comprehensive, multidimensional perspective on the field. This introductory course covers a broad range of topics, providing a foundational understanding of the key concepts and areas within pharmacoepidemiology.

Participants will be involved in different items including:
- Basic principles of pharmacoepidemiology
- Contribution of pharmacoepidemiology to research in clinical pharmacology, public health, social- and clinical pharmacy, pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoeconomics, and global health.
- How existing data registers are applicable for pharmacoepidemiology research
- Extracting data from open source datasets and analyzing data using Excel sheet or SPSS software
