Beskrivning
The research project aims to increase knowledge about how work ability, health, and the risk of long-term sick leave after cancer are affected by the cancer survivor's work environment, occupation, and industry. The project focuses on job demands and resources and how these are related to the development of work ability and health over time. The study is based on survey data from the Swedish Longitudinal Occupational Survey of Health (SLOSH), collected from 2006–2027, which are linked to national registers. By comparing occupations and industries, the project can identify where the needs for workplace support and accommodations are greatest. A gender perspective is consistently integrated throughout. The project examines how differences between women and men, as well as gender-segregated occupations and working conditions, may affect both exposure to occupational risks and opportunities for accommodations in connection with return to work. The results will provide a basis for employers, HR, occupational health services, and other labor market actors to strengthen a sustainable working life after cancer
