Speech language pathology
Speech language pathology deals with communication skills and how they can be affected in various ways; both during childhood development and in the case of injuries or illnesses that may occur later in life. Another area within speech therapy is eating and swallowing disorders in both children and adults.
Description
Speech language pathology is an interdisciplinary subject that includes various medical disciplines, neuroscience, linguistics, phonetics, and psychology. The overarching aim of our research is to increase knowledge about conditions under the umbrella of speech language pathology as well as to develop and improve treatment methods and support interventions for patients and their families.
