Clinical Geriatrics
The aim of our research is to understand, prevent, diagnos and cure diseases in the elderly population, like dementia, diabetes and cardiovascular diease.
Description
In clinical research, we strive to apply new diagnostic methods for neurodegenerative diseases. We also participate in drug trials aiming to develop new treatments, including an antibody-based treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, we conduct epidemiological and genetic investigations to understand the interplay between genes and the environment in the onset of these diseases. Furthermore, by studying the motor function, lifestyle, and mental health of the elderly, we hope to develop effective rehabilitation methods to promote quality of life and well-being.
