Sofia Ögefeldt

Short presentation

Since the fall of 2007, I have been employed as a university lecturer in speech-language pathology at Uppsala University, with a joint position as a speech-language pathologist at Akademiska Hospital. In November 2023, I was admitted as a PhD student at 80%, combined with 20% teaching in the Speech-Language Pathology program at Uppsala University. My research focuses on voice problems in individuals with chronic cough

Research

My PhD project primarily focuses on investigating the prevalence, characteristics, and risk factors of voice symptoms in individuals with chronic cough, as well as examining the impact of these symptoms on sick leave. Additionally, the project aims to evaluate the effects of a non-pharmacological cough treatment in patients with chronic cough and to assess whether the treatment also has an impact on voice problems.
