Child Health Equity Observatory

Open-data monitoring and benchmarking for Swedish child health equity. 290 municipalities, 12 indicators, real-time data.

What is this tool?

BHV is universal, but outcomes vary. MMR vaccination ranges from 65% to 100% across municipalities. Child poverty ranges from 0.2% to 14.4%. This tool identifies where the gap between need and delivery is largest, so resources can be directed proportionally.

Example use

A BHV coordinator searches for their municipality, sees it ranks 35th nationally with below-target vaccination, compares to 10 similar municipalities, downloads a brief with evidence-based recommendations, and brings it to a budget meeting.
