Short presentation

I lead Uppsala Health Economics (UHE), a research group focused on generating policy-relevant evidence on mental health and child health. My work centres on the economic evaluation of preventive and therapeutic interventions, using both trial-based and decision-analytic modelling approaches to inform real-world decision-making.

Biography

Dr. Sampaio completed her PhD at Uppsala University in 2016, where she applied advanced health economic methods to evaluate parenting interventions aimed at preventing and treating externalising behaviour problems in children. She holds an MSc in Public Health and Health Economics from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, and brings a strong interdisciplinary perspective to research at the intersection of economics, prevention, and child mental health.
