Covid-19
Covid-19 infection in children with cancer or hematological diseases
Palle, Sundberg, et al.
There is virtually no information on the risk for cancer patients or children with hematological diseases to develop severe Covid-19 disease. The care of cancer patients is greatly affected by the ongoing pandemic, with reduced opportunities for physical healthcare visits and an estimated deficiencies in a number of care resources, such as healthcare staff, inpatient care spaces, and access to intensive care. Our overall aim is to describe the incidence, clinical picture and risk factors for COVID-19 in children with cancer or hematological diseases, and to compare the results with healthy sibling controls.
