Environmental policy
The task of Uppsala University is to gain and disseminate knowledge for the good of mankind and for a better world. The university's environmental policy is based on this objective and expresses our environmental commitment and ambitions.
Uppsala University shall continuously improve our environmental efforts by:
- Working systematically in order to prevent and reduce our negative environmental impact
- Working systematically in order to support and increase our positive environmental impact
- Increasing the awareness among students and staff about environmental issues
- Inspire students and staff to take concrete action that contribute to our common environmental work
- Including environmental aspects in decision-making when relevant
- Sharing information about the environmental work to, and collaborating with, the surrounding community in order to inspire and become inspired
