Cell-Free 3D Bioprinting of Gene-Activated Scaffolds for Orthopedic Regeneration

About

My project aims to develop a novel 3D-bioprinted device capable of promoting and enhancing bone regeneration by delivering nucleic acid drugs through a peptide-based nanoparticle delivery system. In particular, we aim to treat critical-size defects (CSDs), bone injuries that are unable to selfrepair, such as those resulting from traumatic fractures, osteoporosis, or segmental defects after tumor resection.

Background

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Material Chemistry and a Master's degree in Photochemistry and Molecular Materials, with a specialization in the Health field, both obtained at the University of Bologna, Italy.
