Development of bioinks for muscular models
About
My project aims to develop advanced biomaterials for 3D bioprinting of functional muscle tissue, with a particular focus on cardiovascular applications. By creating living tissue constructs that closely mimic the structure and function of native tissue, we aim to generate proof-of-concept data supporting future regenerative therapies and the development of implantable tissues.
Background
With a background in Biomedical Sciences, I recently completed a master's degree in Biomedical Technologies at the University of Tübingen, specializing in Tissue Engineering and Nanotechnologies. My master's thesis focused on endothelialization strategies for engineered adipose tissue, further strengthening my interest in biomaterials, regenerative medicine, and translational biomedical research.
