Master's studies: Courses and programs
At the Department of Human Geography, you can read independent courses at advanced level, which are aimed at those who have a bachelor's degree (with or without geography subjects). The courses deal with current issues of economic geography, urban geography, community planning, globalization, climate adaptation and identity.
Courses on the Master level are given in English.
New Master's Programme in Human Geography
The English-language Master's Programme in Human Geography develops your ability to identify and analyze local and global sustainability challenges, for example in relation to urbanization, demographic change, global warming, economic growth, and resource utilization.
The programme leads to the degree of Master of Social Science (120 credits) with Human Geography as the main field of study. After one year of study, it is possible to obtain a degree of Master of Social Science (60 credits).
