InSilico optimization of PBF-LB manufactured Mg alloy using processing-structure-property relationships (PSPR)

About

My project explores how we can use data and computational methods to improve the 3D printing of biodegradable magnesium alloys. I will investigate how printing conditions influence the material’s structure and properties and use machine-learning-assisted approaches to identify promising processing conditions. Ultimately, the research aims to support reliable manufacturing of magnesium-based biodegradable medical implants.

Background

I have a background in materials science and metallurgical engineering, with a Master of Science degree in engineering Materials Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. My previous research involved metallic materials, microstructural characterization, mechanical testing, and processing–structure–property relationships, including research on recycled cemented carbides during my master’s thesis.
