Project description

The typical pattern of how a person thinks, feels and behaves is called personality. Personality affects functioning in relations, studies, work, as well as how to cope with illness including mental disorders. Maladaptive personality functioning can in some cases be diagnosed as personality disorders. The significance of specific personality traits and personality disorders in young psychiatric patients is investigated in a long-term follow-up study. In another study borderline personality disorder is studied more in depth, including how it should be delimited from other mental disorders with similar symptoms.
