Global Health Pharmacometrics

Our Research
Diseases such as tuberculosis (TB), HIV, and malaria claim millions of lives annually, primarily in low- and middle-income countries. We use pharmacometric methods to develop new drugs and optimize treatments for these infectious diseases.
Every year, one million children contract TB. We contribute to studies within the IMPAACT and BenefitKids networks to identify the correct dosing and develop child-friendly drug formulations.
Multidrug-resistant TB is a global crisis. We develop models to understand drug interactions and improve concentration-effect relationships. Our results have influenced FDA guidelines and support the development of new treatment strategies.
With PanACEA, we investigate shorter treatment durations, dosing independent of body weight, and evidence-based design of combination tablets.
