Have AI and social media lowered the barrier to entry for anyone seeking to shape public opinion on a large scale? On the social media platform TikTok, there have been recurring reports of malicious accounts spreading misinformation for political purposes. But how do these accounts affect young users and their votes in the September 13 election?
UppTalk’s guest at Kulturnatten is Matteo Magnani, a professor of data science at Uppsala University. He uses methods and algorithms to, among other things, identify software that produces and spreads disinformation online. A warm welcome to all!
