Forskning och forskarutbildning med fokus på diamantoptik för ett brett spektrum av tillämpningar, inklusive mikro- och nanostrukturering av företrädesvis (men inte begränsat till) kolbaserade material.

Ångström Diamond Optics Group är en del av avdelningen för tillämpad materialvetenskap vid Uppsala universitet och leds av docent Mikael Karlsson.
Vår grupp bedriver forskning och forskarutbildning med fokus på diamantoptik för ett brett spektrum av tillämpningar, inklusive mikro- och nanostrukturering av företrädesvis (men inte begränsat till) kolbaserade material.
Forskningen inom diamantoptik är, för närvarande, inriktad på tillämpningar inom astronomi och biovetenskap. I dessa projekt använder vi egenutvecklade avancerade mikro- och nanostruktureringstekniker för att tillverka optiska diamantkomponenter som arbetar i de infraröda våglängderna. Vi har också expertis inom optisk design och simuleringar.
