Kort presentation
My research examines the political and social consequences of organized violence.
I study how criminal and political violence shape public opinion and political and civic behavior in both established democracies and conflict-affected societies.
I also work on contentious elections and the role of law enforcement in settings marked by violence and political polarization.
Methodologically, I combine survey experiments, observational research designs, and qualitative approaches.

Forskning
I am currently involved in two research projects examining the political consequences of organized crime in liberal democracies, with a particular focus on Sweden (funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and the Swedish Research Council; with Hanne Fjelde and Sirus Dedahri).
I am also affiliated with the Political Violence in Democracies projects (led by Hanne Fjelde, funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation).
I am a faculty member of the Horizon Europe MSCA doctoral network DIViNE (Democratic Institutions and Violence Network in Europe).
My research has appeared in The Journal of Politics, Comparative Political Studies, International Studies Quarterly, Democratization, Journal of Peace Research, and Journal of Conflict Resolution, among others.
