In her dissertation project, Karin investigates the ongoing increase of precarious low-wage jobs in the service sector and how such jobs influence individual and macro-level outcomes. Employing a variety of statistical methods on registry data, she examines social class and segmentation, with a particular focus on working conditions for women and migrants.
