The PS-group is an interdisciplinary research group with a focus on research on special education, inclusive education and the work and cooperation of different professions on special education and inclusion.
The members of the group Pedagogy with a Focus on Special Education conduct broad and diverse research with both practical studies and basic research, as well as philosophical and theoretical studies. The focus is on educational contexts, from preschool to higher education, and the difficulties that can arise within these, as well as on various processes of inclusion and exclusion. The group studies teaching and educational leadership, policy and politics, the work and responsibilities of different professions, child- and student perspectives, different disabilities and other social categories, as well as theoretical conceptual development.
The group includes members working in municipal schools, at other higher education institutions and to some extent from other countries. The employees at Uppsala University mainly teach in teacher training, preschool teacher training and the special education teacher program.
