IK Sirius Fotboll joins Kunskap För Livet 2026

IK Sirius till Kunskap För Livet 2026

IK Sirius Fotboll joins Kunskap För Livet 2026. Focusing on values, team building and leadership, the club will share its ongoing journey from Division 2 Norra Svealand to the top of Allsvenskan. “Meeting Uppsala’s young people and talking about how we can create environments where people grow as individuals and as a team is a priority for us,” says club director Martin Malmberg.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is proud to welcome IK Sirius Fotboll to Kunskap För Livet 2026. The team, which is currently leaving all opposition behind at the top of the Allsvenskan table, has become a matter of city-wide interest. A ticket to Studenternas IP is highly sought after, and on matchdays the roads to the arena are coloured blue and black. On Monday 23 November, six days before the historic possibility of bringing Uppsala its first Swedish championship title, the city’s high school students will get an insight into the work of building a culture where the whole is greater than the sum of its individual parts.

“Suddenly, everyone in Uppsala is talking about football. When children play football in the street, they want to be Sirius. At workplaces, people analyse the league table and discuss the next match. It is obvious that Sirius Fotboll is on its way to achieving something great, and behind the success lies strategic and goal-oriented work. There is a lot we can all learn from this, and the fact that we are now bringing IK Sirius together with Uppsala’s high school students and teachers feels nothing short of fantastic,” says Anja Sandström, Dean and moderator in the auditorium.

At Kunskap För Livet, IK Sirius will present how the organisation – with a focus on values, team building and leadership – has made the journey over 20 years from Division 2 Norra Svealand to the top of the Allsvenskan, with European football now within close reach.

“We consistently work to create an environment that gives young people the opportunity to grow, both as individuals and as part of a group. A lot is about setting the right expectations, but also about trust and taking personal responsibility. Talking about this with Uppsala’s high school students is a priority for us – and of course, we hope to bring some of our players to the auditorium as well. They have a lot to say about what it takes to function and develop together,” says Martin Malmberg.

With IK Sirius Fotboll taking part, Kunskap För Livet 2026 takes another major step forward. On stage, the club will be joined by Elaine Eksvärd (rhetoric expert), Diamant Salihu (journalist), Jale Poljarevius (police officer), Mårten Nylén (health expert), Beata Kull (entrepreneur), Christian Benedict (sleep researcher), Martin Fernström (educational presenter) and Mathias Hallberg (addiction researcher). Together with Uppsala’s high school students and teachers, they will explore new ways of moving towards a sustainable lifestyle.

“We have worked intensively throughout the spring on the programme for Kunskap För Livet 2026. We are now bringing together a selection of leading experts from across Sweden in subjects that matter to young people – and the fact that the Grand Auditorium is virtually fully booked, with almost 2,000 students and teachers, shows just how important these issues are. With three months to go, I dare promise that this year’s Kunskap För Livet will be our strongest edition yet,” says Anja Sandström.
