Interlibrary loans and purchase suggestions to Almedalen Library
If you cannot find something in our collections, we can purchase it or request it through interlibrary loan:
- Books can be purchased or borrowed from other libraries through interlibrary loan. The library decides whether to purchase or borrow the item.
- Articles can be ordered as paper copies.
- Purchase suggestions can also be made for magazine subscriptions and databases.
Before submitting a request, please check whether the material is already available in our collections. Search the Almedalen Library catalogue to see if the material is available in print. Search the Uppsala University Library search tool to find out if the material is available online.
Interlibrary loans and purchases can take time, so be sure to submit your request well in advance.
About purchase suggestions
- Everyone affiliated with Uppsala University or who has a library card at Uppsala University Library may submit a purchase suggestion.
- The University Library will decide on purchase suggestions in line with our acquisition strategy (in Swedish)
- The University Library determines which materials are acquired and in what format. Priority is given to the acquisition of recent publications, with a preference for electronic books.
- Due to current sanctions, we are currently unable to purchase literature from Russian suppliers.
- Delivery times for the purchase of printed books may vary. Purchase of e-books is generally faster.
