Disa Prize to Sofia Häggman
The Disa Prize 2023 is awarded to Sofia Häggman, Egyptologist and curator at the Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities in Stockholm. She receives the prize for her popular science efforts, including the book Mumier: Fakta, forskning, fiktion (Mummies: Facts, Research, Fiction).
The award will be presented by Vice-Chancellor Anders Hagfeldt on Uppsala Culture Night. Following the award ceremony, Sofia Häggman will give a presentation in Swedish on the topic: "Mummies - from Egypt's tombs to Sweden's natural history chamber".
