All employees have certain expectations, such as contributing to a good working climate. Uppsala University's employee policy aims to make visible the common values contained in the document Goals and Strategies, by concretising and clarifying employees' responsibilities, attitudes and expected behaviour. The staff policy covers all employees, regardless of role.

My role as a public sector employee - common ground rules
To help you as a new employee to learn more about what it means to be employed at Uppsala University, we recommend a web-based training that provides you with fundamental knowledge about being a civil servant. The training takes between 35 and 45 minutes to complete.

Information security
As an employee at Uppsala University, it is essential to stay informed about cyber threats and understand how to act responsibly in your daily work to reduce potential risks.
To support this, the Security and Safety Division has developed a mandatory course for all new employees: Basic Training in Information Security.
This web-based course is delivered through self-paced learning on the Studium platform.
Upon starting your employment, you will receive an email from the Security and Safety Division with instructions on how to access and complete the course. If you haven’t received an email or have questions, email security@uu.se
