Livshistoria, plasticitet, epigenetisk nedärvning och åldrande

Vi är intresserade av evolution inom livshistorieteorin överlag och vår nuvarande forskning fokuserar kring två sammanlänkade teman:
- Evolution av arvssystem (fenotypisk plasticitet, parentalt och epigenetiskt arv) under anpassning i heterogena miljöer, med en inriktning på samspel mellan plasticitet och lokal anpassning.
- Avvägningar inom livshistorieteorin under evolutionen av åldrande, inklusive förlängd livslängd.
Vi undersöker dessa frågor med experimentell evolution, artificiell selektion, farmaceutisk och genetisk manipulation i de ytterst lämpliga modellsystemen för nematoder, Caenorhabditis remanei och C. elegans.
