Vår forskning faller inom gränssnittet mellan cell- och molekylärbiologi och medicin.
Vår forskning
Vi arbetar i gränssnittet mellan kemi och biologi. Vi designar nya syntetiska strategier för att utveckla funktionella biomaterial och nya nukleinsyrabaserade precisionsläkemedel för translationell medicin.
Vi har ett multidisciplinärt team med erfarenhet av syntetisk organisk kemi, cell- och molekylärbiologi, materialvetenskap och klinisk forskning. En sådan unik tvärvetenskaplig miljö gör att vi kan bedriva forskning på högsta nivå med synergier mellan forskare från olika vetenskapsdomäner. Vi tror på vetenskap utan några gränser och uppmuntrar därför våra teammedlemmar att ta djärva steg och ge sig ut i oprövade vatten.
Detta resulterar i en exceptionell teammiljö där kemister utför biologiska experiment och biologer deltar i preklinisk forskning. Vi har även nära samarbeten med Uppsala universitetssjukhus och ledande forskare i Europa och Asien. I stort sett kan vår forskning kategoriseras i fyra olika områden som är nära sammanlänkade.
