What role does empathy play in university teaching? Taking the article below as a starting point, we will look into what teacher empathy is and what it is not, and how, if at all, it affects the students' learning. We will also see how teachers and students may perceive empathy differently, and connect the issues raised in the article to our day-to-day teaching.
