AI4Teknat is a five‑year faculty‑wide initiative to raise the overall use and competence of modern AI/ML techniques across the Faculty of Science and Technology.

AI4Teknat – strengthening AI competence in research and education

AI4Teknat aims to enhance the competitiveness of research by developing practical skills in AI and machine learning among both senior and junior researchers. A key focus is to promote collaboration across disciplinary boundaries and to create conditions for knowledge exchange across the entire scientific domain.

The initiative coordinates faculty-wide efforts and provides support in the form of seed funding, introductory and advanced courses, as well as targeted activities such as lectures, seminars, and workshops. A dedicated implementation group is responsible for coordination, identifying needs and available resources, and supporting engagement and grassroots initiatives from researchers.

The coming five years

Over the next five years, AI4Teknat will issue calls for seed funding for research projects, course development, and the organization of workshops and seminars. The goal is to build a long-term, sustainable, and interconnected research community with strong AI expertise within the faculty.
